Seller Terms (for people or businesses selling on the Souk Too marketplace)
Welcome! These terms explain the rules for selling on our Souk Too marketplace.
By creating a seller account or listing an item, you’re agreeing to follow them.
- Who can sell
-You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to run your business.
-You’re responsible for making sure your products and your business follow all laws,
including tax rules.
-You must be able to accept international payments with buyer protection integrated. - Your account
-You must display your individual returns policy on your seller profile and your listings.
-You can’t list anything that’s banned by law or our prohibited items list.
-Any sold item listing, must be deleted as soon as payment by the buyer is made.
-The contact information you give us must be correct and up to date. - Listings
-For approval and publishing, your listing must include:
-One item, adhering to our prohibited items policy.
-One set price including your currency symbol.Item description (origin, age, condition, weight, measurements).
-Your shipping costs for each destination (in the description box).
-Clear images of the item, illustrating its condition (landscape images best).
-All listings must be accurate — descriptions, prices, and photos must match the product
you are selling.
– A listing can include one item only. The price of that item must be entered in the appropriate box
along with the symbol for the currency you wish to use.
-Listings must include: age, origin, measurements, weight, materials, price. - Orders & shipping
-When a shopper buys your item, you must ship it within the time agreed.
-You must clearly and accurately state your shipping fees on every listing.
-You must clearly and accurately state the country you’ll ship from on every listing.
-You must include your shipping fees and terms on your seller profile.
-Shipments should be sent tracked and traced.
-We recommend adding adequate insurance to all shipments.
-Package items safely so they arrive in good condition.
-If you can’t fulfil an order, you must cancel it quickly and let the buyer know.
-When payment has been made, you must refund within 7 days of order cancellation. - Payments & fees
-Payment is arranged privately between buyer and seller, using our messaging service.
-Payments and shipping are a private matter between buyer and seller.
-Sellers should report payment failures to the site owner.
-You are responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes. - Content & ownership
-You keep ownership of your product photos and descriptions, but you give us permission
to use them on our site and marketing.
-It’s recommended that you watermark your images.
-Do not use content you don’t have rights to. - Fair dealing
-No fake reviews, misleading information, or attempts to sell outside the platform to
accounts registered here.
-Treat buyers with respect — respond to messages within a reasonable time.
-Set realistic expectations with buyers regarding purchase processing times.
-Abide by e-commerce/distance selling regulations in the country you trade from.
-While Souk Too is generally safe, scams can occur. Buyers and sellers should be aware of
common scams and take precautions. - Disputes & problems
-Buyer and seller complaints should be reported to the site owner.
-Sellers whose feedback drops below 4 stars average are subject to review.
-If there’s a serious rule breach, we withhold the right to suspend or close your account at
any time.
-If a buyer or seller encounters suspicious activity, they should immediately cancel the
transaction, stop communication, and report the listing or person.
– If you receive messages which appear to be spam or problematic behaviour please alert usso that we can
( At our Discretion) remove anyone who is behaving in an inappropriate manner. - Upholding Rules and Standards
– To maintain fairness in ‘Souk Too’ we operate a system of one warning for participants,
followed by removal from the site for any second rule violation. - Changes to these terms
-We can update these rules from time to time. If we make big changes, we will tell you
before they take effect.
