Brass Oromo "Shields" with a Hint of Freshwater Pearls / Ethiopia/ Jackie Little Design
This great pair of earrings was made by embellishing two old Ethiopian Brass discs/shields from the Oromo people (these are scarce i9n the market these days) with wire and little freshwater pearls. Added sterling silver posts and Presto!… you have some unique and attractive earrings.
I have included an image from Pinterest to show what original Oromo brass pieces look like “as-is”.
49 mm / 1.88 inches average diameter. The original brass pieces are handmade and are very slightly different in size, design, and patina. I suspect that the one on the left is newer than the other….you would never notice when you had them on .

I usually ship via USPS (United US Postal Service). Most parcels go into a small flat-rate box, which is $9 US domestically and $24 internationally. Those prices are averages, and the cost may be higher or lower depending on the item purchased. Send me a message if you would like specifics. Thanks!
