Georgian shoe buckles

A pair of sterling silver shoe buckles circa eighteenth century, England.
This style of buckle is recognisably Georgian.
These arrived in very grubby condition, and I have lightly polished them but they could be further shined!
They are covered in makers marks and hallmarks.
The lion passant for 92.5% pure silver is present on both buckles – “Passant” means that the lion’s right forepaw is raised while his other three paws are on the ground. After 1720, it was used by all of the English assay offices.
The marks I W in this particular font seem to be attributed to a James Wilks, circa 1724- 1733. London. https://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/…/London-IS-IZ.html…
The W.H makers mark on both buckles, seems a close match to one William Hannay, documented silversmith in Glasgow. The Edinburgh Incorporation of Goldsmiths web site quotes Hannay’s working dates as 1796 to 1838.
